LINDA PAPPA x JACKIE BOHÈME

A few months ago, I got to meet Ellen Wauters. Ellen is a unique woman, a curious spirit with an incredible eye for art and aesthetics, who has created some of the most beautiful creative spaces in Antwerp and now Ibiza. Jackie Bohème is a platform and multi-disciplinary project through which she collaborates with other creatives and artists. It has its own concept store both online and offline, filled with an awe-inspiring selection of books, ceramics, high quality home garments and decor.

Our connection was instant. I felt Ellen’s love for my creations, her interest and curiosity in my process, it only made me want to collaborate with her immediately. I was also totally drawn by her open hearted, free-spirited, transformative approach to entrepreneurship and creating a deeply soulful business. We had conversations about living simply and slowly, being in a nourishing place, connecting with Nature, creating from the Heart and connecting with others.

Ellen purchased many pieces from my collection, to share at her shop - and along the way she shared some ideas with me about objects she wanted to create together. Together, we brought these two unique ceramic collections to life.

It was the most magical thing to be able to create objects with such intention.
I invite you to explore them below…

FORAGE VASES

“A series of small hand built vessels, crafted to receive foraged branches, dry flowers and other treasures from walks in nature.

An invitation to bring seasonal beauty into the home and onto the altar. Each of these pieces is completely one of a kind, made slowly and mindfully by the hands of artist Linda Pappa. Every piece celebrates a shape of its own, and features unique glaze marks contrasting against the raw texture of terracotta.”

EARTH PLATTERS

“These platters are made with a lot of soulful intention, in direct communion with the abundant Earth energy of the mediterranean. They are shaped by hand, using natural terracotta clay from the island of Crete: a clay that has been used on the island for more than four thousand years.

Shaped into irregular, imperfect organic shapes, they are painted with raw Earth pigment with each platter featuring its own unique design sealed on the surface. Every platter serves as an original work of art for the home, and a vessel to display all that we most appreciate & celebrate every season.
