MY RELATIONSHIP WITH PURE EARTH

Volcanic Earth. Santorini, June 2020

TERRA. OCHRE. THE MOST ANCIENT COLOR THAT EXISTS ON OUR PLANET AND THAT HAS ADORNED THE WALLS OF PREHISTORIC CAVES AND MOST ANCIENT VESSELS.

Rich in iron which gives it its powerful red color, like the blood of Gaia. Used for thousands of years for healing & cleansing, as well as pigment making.

I HAVE BEEN DRAWN TO THIS COLOR FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS, NOT REALLY AWARE OF ITS STORY.

IT SOMEHOW SPOKE TO ME FROM A VERY INTUITIVE PLACE, AS IT WAS EXACTLY TWO YEARS AGO THAT WE DECIDED TO MOVE TO THIS ISLAND IN ORDER TO HONOUR MY ROOTS.

THIS IS WHAT THIS COLOR REPRESENTS FOR ME. ROOTS. GROUNDING. ANCESTRY. EARTH CONNECTION. EVERYTHING INTUITIVE COMES FROM THE VOICE OF OUR SUBCONSCIOUS. OUR NEEDS. OUR SACRED PATH.

A PLACE OF DEEP MEANING.

AS I GRIND THIS EARTH COLOR TO BRING MY OWN WORK INTO LIFE, I CONNECT THE DOTS AND I AM REMINDED OF MY PURPOSE.
